Check the receipt on actual paper

The printer choice changes what reaches the customer. A compatible generic thermal printer prints text; supported Star printing also covers logos and QR codes.

Reading the purchase

Use a receipt from your real setup to check product names, amounts and any details your customers need to keep.

Using a printed code

If the receipt depends on a QR code, choose a supported Star model. A text-only result would leave that part of the receipt out.

Make the connection part of the specification

An accessory name does not identify how it connects. Keep the exact device and connection details together when checking compatibility.

One printer, two setups

A printer that works in one configuration is not proof it works with another till. Include the Tillable device in the compatibility check.

Charging at the counter

A charging dock must fit the model your team uses. Confirm the dock, power supply and cable as one charging arrangement.

Can I keep my existing printer or cash drawer?

Send us its make, model and connection details. We’ll check whether it works with your Tillable setup.

Can all supported printers print logos and QR codes?

No. The generic printer option skips both. Use a supported Star model if your receipt needs them.

Which Star printers work with Tillable?

Ask us to confirm the exact model and connection before you order. Not every printer that uses Star commands is necessarily supported.
